Review of 2017/2018. Spartak: Playoffs after five years

KHL.ru goes on with teams’ review. Today it’s Spartak’s turn. The Red-Whites led by Vadim Yepanchintsev managed to fulfill the season’s main goal and after a five-year pause they managed to get to the playoffs. However, Spartak’s postseason was very short.

Khokhlachyov disqualified from Amur game

In Tuesday's match against Admiral in Vladivostok, Spartak forward Alexander Khokhlachyov picked up a minor plus game misconduct penalty (2+10+20 minutes) for slashing. As this was the player's second 20-minute penalty of the current season, following the game misconduct for spearing he received after September's match against today's opponents, Amur, he incurs a fine and an automatic one-game suspension, thus ruling him out of the Red-and-Whites match in Khabarovsk.
