Torpedo looks to stay hot while Dynamo Moscow shoots for #10!
Torpedo hits the road against Amur, a team that hasn’t had much luck this season, hoping to take its third straight. Later in the evening, Kunlun looks to do something it never has, namely defeat Dynamo Moscow. The boys from the capital are one of the hottest teams in the league. Not looking good for Kunlun.
Jokerit, Metallurg & Salavat shoot for their 10th wins this season!
Jokerit is undefeated in nine straight and now welcomes a red hot Ak Bars. Fireworks are promised! Meanwhile, Metallurg looks for its 8th straight win against a recently successful Barys team while Salavat is home again and confident it will beat somewhat flailing Avtomobilist side.
Light gameday features four teams coming off losses!
Not a team in action today was successful in its latest outing. Leading things in this lack of success is Kunlun, which hosts Admiral today looking to avoid its 6th straight defeat. The chances are actually good and not just because the boys from the east coast have lost three straight themselves, but rather because Admiral has had a real hard time defeating Kunlun on the road the past few years.
Big battle in store as SKA welcomes Salavat to St. Petersburg!
There should be fireworks tonight in the Baltic region when SKA looks for its 4th straight win against the very hot Salavat, which is nonetheless coming off its first loss of the season. About the same thing can be said for the match-up in Chelyabinsk, when Traktor hosts CSKA, also winners of 3 straight. However, Traktor is also coming off a seldom loss.
Wonderful Jokerit is shooting for its amazing 8th straight win!
No-one could’ve seen this coming when Jokerit kicked off the season with two straight losses, but after seven straight wins, the Finns are flying. They’re on the road tonight against Torpedo, which is hungry for a win after three straight losses. Dunno about you, but we’d say Jokerit has the upper hand here.
Two undefeated teams look to keep the fairy tale going!
Severstal may be at home, but they welcome a Salavat team that is looking for its 8th straight win. Going to be a tough one for the home team, loser of two in a row. At the same time, undefeated Dynamo Moscow will look to chalk up its 7th straight win and a home ice victory over Dinamo Riga looks like a likely scenario.
Two games featuring two teams looking to end losing streaks!
Out east, Amur will be hosting Severstal looking to chalk up its first win of the season. At home for another two games, it’s time to get things moving in a positive direction against a team batting a little less than .500 thus far, otherwise it could be the sixth straight loss for Amur.
Eight games on tap with plenty of teams looking to change fortunes!
Winless Admiral kicks off the gameday hosting undefeated Dynamo Moscow, a game in which Vadim Shipachyov will look to become the all-time KHL leader in assists. Back west, a hot Jokerit starts a 3-game homestand against a tough Lokomotiv team while a thus far hapless Vityaz hopes to get on track against a Traktor team that is coming in off a strong start to the season.

10 Year anniversary honors tragic day in Lokomotiv and KHL history
When Lokomotiv hosts Dinamo Minsk today, it will do so for the first time in 10 years and with heavy hearts. The tragic day in history back in 2011 left almost no corner of the hockey world untouched and cost the lives of the team, the staff, and all in the flight crew – people that are missed to this very day. Their spirits are to be honored as the team marches on into competition with their memory never forgotten.
Another day, another game for Ak Bars. Preview September 5th

First day losers will be looking to get on track on 2nd gameday!
CSKA can surely smell blood as Riga heads to Moscow on the tails of a loss while the same can be said for Avangard, which will host Admiral, coming in on a long distance trip. Ak Bars hopes to send Kunlun back to Mytishchi with an 0-2 record while Lokomotiv hosts SKA for the day’s biggest battle.
Full slate of action features seven match-ups to really kick things off!
The first real gameday of the 2021-2022 season takes flight and a number of teams are entering the fray with much different expectations. Both Kunlun and Dinamo Riga want to write a much different story than the one written last season. Jokerit and Lokomotiv will be looking to stay consistent and edge their way into the league’s top 7. Ak Bars and Ska are naturally here with Gagarin Cup ambitions, and they’ll be looking to strut their stuff right off the bat .
Crunch time is here as the series heads back to Moscow tied at two!
It was a wild Game 4 that saw CSKA jump out to a 2-0 lead only to need a goal in the very last second of the game to push things to overtime. There, Avangard managed to score in the 66th minute of play and now the teams head back to Moscow with this series coming down to a Best-of-Three.
Tight 2-1 victory has given CSKA the upper hand before Game 4!
Goals are now proving hard to come by in this series. A late tally in the game’s 49th minute by playoff top scorer Maxim Shalunov ended Avangard’s hopes of gaining an upper hand and means that the team from Omsk has now lost four home games in a row.
Cinderella story continues to develop as pressure shifts to CSKA!
Avangard has truly done all its winning on the road recently and Game 1 was no exception. Having been off a few days, it took a while for CSKA to get up and running. Now the team needs to buck Avangard’s current road-winning ways and even this series up before heading to Balashikha.
Game 1 of the Gagarin Cup is here!
Thanks to a thrilling Game 7 overtime victory, Avangard has knocked off the mighty Ak Bars Kazan and will now play for the cup in what is a rematch of the 2019 Gagarin Cup finals. Coming out of a series in which the road team won every game, the men from Omsk will have no problem kicking off this series in Moscow.
Game 4 victory has SKA living to battle yet another day!
A tight 2-1 lead turned into a sigh of relief when SKA scored an empty net goal in the 60th minute to make it 3-1 and collect their first victory. It’s still a complete uphill battle as the scene flips back to Moscow, where CSKA will surely want to put the nail in the coffin.
Series tightens as Ak Bars back in the win column after close victory!
Boucher’s march to a scoring record in consecutive games was broken as Ak Bars managed to sneak out a tight 2-1 victory. Avangard is once again at home but could see an unwanted switch in momentum if it heads back to Kazan with this series tied.
