British hockey in Moscow – the Harringay Racers of 1955
When Dinamo Riga faces off against Team GB in Coventry on Wednesday, the game will be an important part of the host’s preparations for this year’s IIHF World Championship. Britain hasn’t appeared at a top level international tournament since 1994 and the team’s management has spoken about the importance of testing players from the local Elite League against the speed and skill they can expect at the peak of the international game.
