Following a disturbance involvng several players, the match officials handed out two more major plus game misconduct penalties - to Torpedo defenseman Grigory Zheldakov (for boarding) and to Sibir defenseman Maxim Ignatovich (for being the instigator in a brawl) – and in each case, the Committee upheld the decision.
