SKA and CSKA meet tonight for the second time this season!

Preview
On an exciting KHL Tuesday, SKA and CSKA meet again for a real clash of titans. SKA seemed to have flown out of reach for their conference rivals, but by mid-November, the situation had changed. At the beginning of the new week, SKA is seven points ahead of CSKA, but the Muscovites have two games left that could really close the gap between the two Western giants.

The teams have met before this season – in early October, SKA collected a 3:2 road win thanks to an empty net goal by Maxim Groshev. That loss was CSKA’s third straight and infuriated the Red-and-Blues so much that the team went on an eleven-game winning streak. Will tonight’s game be such a turning point? We’ll soon discover.

Earlier, another Moscow time plays on the road when Dynamo pays a visit to Cherepovets for the fourth time this season. The Blue-and-Whites have already defeated Severstal three times this season, and they are looking for a four-win set.

In Belarus, Dinamo Minsk hosts Vityaz trying to return to victory after losing four straight games. The Belarusians’ season has been full of up and downs, and they will be looking out to win tonight to end a negative November, where they collected more losses, than wins. Another team who is looking to get out of the hole is Lokomotiv – the Railwaymen lost their previous five games and tonight they move to Sochi. Despite being on the bottom of the standings, Sochi had a few nice wins over higher touted teams, and they did already defeat Lokomotiv this season – expect a tough game on the Black Sea’s shores.

A showdown between Torpedo and Kunlun Red Star closes an exciting KHL matchday. Igor Larionov’s young guns are currently – and sensationally – the third seed in the West, and they will try to further cement their position.
