Best Players of the 2022-2023 ninth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the Regular Season’s ninth week in four categories.

Last week, the League’s teams played 31 games, with 529 players (39 goalies, 180 defensemen, and 310 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.16 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the second time in his career was Nikita Serebryakov (Admiral), who won two matches from two last week, including one SO victory. The Far East netminder faced 83 shots, or 41.5 per night, posting a 98.80% and a 0.47 goals-against average. Serebryakov is the first Admiral’s goalie who won Goalie of the week honors twice.

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Sergei Telegin (Traktor), who scored 4 (0+4) points in four games last week. The Traktor defenseman ended the week with an even differential, had eight shots on goal, recorded four hits, and blocked six shots from the opposition.

- Best forward for the fourth time in his career was Dmitrij Jaskin (SKA), who scored 5 (4+1) points in three games last week. Jaskin recorded 24 hits, blocked two shots, and had one takeaway. In the game against Lokomotiv, he potted the game-winning goal. Earlier, Jaskin was awarded Forward of the week honors three times wearing the Dynamo Moscow’s jersey.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was defenseman Nikita Yevseyev (Ak Bars), who scored 2 (2+0) points in three games last week. In the Sunday game against Neftekhimik, the blueliner potted a double. In the week, Yevseyev had five shots on goal, recorded four hits, blocked one shot from the opposition, and had three takeaways. The only other Ak Bars’ defenseman to be awarded Rookie of the week honors was Damir Musin in 2014-2015 fourteenth week.
