Best Players of the 2022-2023 fourth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the Regular Season’s fourth week in four categories.

Last week, the League’s teams played 31 games, with 531 players (39 goalies, 179 defensemen, and 313 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 4.52 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the fifth time in his career was Eddie Pasquale (Metallurg), who won two games from two last week. Pasquale faced 44 shots, or 22 per night, posting a saves percentage of 97.3% and a goals-against average of 0.50. In the Saturday game against Kunlun Red Star, the Canadian goalie posted a shutout. Pasquale was awarded Goalie of the week honors three times while representing Barys and once while representing Lokomotiv.

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Christian Jaros (Avangard), who scored 4 (2+2) points in four games last week (best figures of the week among defensemen). Jaros also recorded two hits, blocked seven shots (best figures) and two takeaways.

- Best forward for the first time in his career was Alexander Sharov (Sibir), who scored 7 (5+2) points in three games last week. In the Sunday game against Vityaz, the Novosibirsk forward had 5 (4+1) points, becoming the first player in the history of the club to net four tallies in a single game. Sharov also recorded five hits, blocked two shots, and had one takeaway.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was forward Stepan Nikulin (Lokomotiv), who scored 4 (1+3) points in three games last week. Nikulin ended the week with the best goals differential among all rookies, plus-3, recorded two hits and had one takeaway.
