CSKA hosts Ak Bars trying to keep winning streak alive!

Preview
CSKA had a striking start of the season and is now looking to stretch the series further. On Saturday, pulling the goalie in OT worked again as Vladislav Kamenev found the back of the net to gift the Red-and-Blues a hard-fought home win over a combative Neftekhimik squad. On contrast, Ak Bars failed to score to Dynamo Moscow in its first game of the season – despite featuring in its lineup two of the all-time KHL top scorers in Vadim Shipachyov and Alexander Radulov. The temperature will be hot on the ice when those two powerhouses will faceoff on Monday night in Moscow.

However,  other games promise no fewer emotions – in Minsk, Dinamo hosts Avangard after defeating Barys in its home opener in front of a packed Minsk Arena, while in St. Petersburg, SKA welcomes the Kazakhs after a breath-taking OT win over Salavat Yulaev with a swift movie in OT by newcomer Damir Zhafyarov that sent the home crowd through the roof.

After defeating Ak Bars and its stars-stacked roster, Dynamo Moscow should avoid underrating Neftekhimik – the Oleg Leontyev’s men gave CSKA a good run for its money and lost to the Muscovites only in OT. A showdown between Vityaz and Salavat Yulaev completes an action-packed KHL Monday.
