Lukas Sedlak’s return proved to be not enough for Traktor – the Czech foreigner collected a minus-3 differential, and Metallurg scored six unanswered goals in Chelyabinsk with a sensational 6:0 score in game four.

Certainly, Anvar Gatiyatullin was hoping to be in a different position in game five – especially as they need to play on the road – but the Southern Urals rivalry probably gave some extra motivation to the Metallurg’s squad who enjoyed a three-point performance from Brendan Leipsic and Philippe Maillet. However, Metallurg shouldn’t think the series is over, but such an experienced team is unlikely to allow itself such a mistake and it’s likely that Magnitka will find itself in the Gagarin Cup tonight – barring any strong performance from the many Traktor’s scorers.
