Alexander Popov didn’t score in game four and CSKA lost – but it isn’t over yet as the series is now tied at two. SKA gave the Muscovites three powerful blows in three minutes in the middle stanza, sending CSKA to the ground. Vitaly Abramov and Maxim Sorkin (again!) cut SKA’s lead later in the game, but it wasn’t enough – Mikhail Vorobyov’s first tally in the playoffs was the eventual game-winner for St. Petersburg.
