It looks it’s just a matter of time, but CSKA can reach the West finals with a win over Dynamo Moscow tonight. In Ufa, Traktor will seek revenge after losing game three to Salavat Yulaev.

It won’t be easy for the Blue-and-Whites to halt CSKA’s march toward the Western Conference finals. Goalie Alexander Yeryomenko returned for Dynamo Moscow and had an excellent showing, but it clearly wasn’t enough as the forwards failed to deliver when it mattered the most. If that wasn’t unpleasant enough for the Dynamo men, the game-winner of the night was netted by a former player – Semyon Pankratov.

In the Eastern Conference, Salavat Yulaev defeated Traktor in game three, with Viktor Tikhonov potting the game-winner in the second period. The Chelyabinsk side almost managed to rally back with a shorthanded goal by Tomas Hyka, but an empty netter by Nikolai Kulemin sealed the deal for Ufa. It will be a battle tonight in a packed Ufa-Arena as Traktor will try to tie things up, while Salavat Yulaev may find itself at just one step from the Eastern Conference finals.
