Two games are on tap on an exciting KHL playoffs Monday. In the Eastern Conference, the series between Salavat Yulaev and Traktor is tied with the sides swapping victories, and at this point it looks like it can go either way. Traktor improved in the second games, finding its way to the crease guarded by Alexander Sharychenkov, and had excellent support from its international players. Salavat Yulaev, on the other hand, has a fully Russian lineup, but its players showed to be able to face any challenge as they did in game one.
In the West, Dynamo Moscow hosts CSKA for game three. After two wins by the Red-and-Blues, Dynamo has a chance to revert the trend, but they will have to improve. Stanislav Galiyev’s 100th career goal wasn’t enough in game two – perhaps it’s time for the Blue-and-Whites to start Alexander Yeryomenko?
The series is tied 1-1.
About the game
The series moves to Ufa with the teams tied at one. Winning tonight would be a good start for either side, while the other will still have plenty of time to recover. However, in playoff hockey, rallying back is always tough.
CSKA leads the series 2-0.
About the game
In game two, CSKA won again showing a good offensive play by their leaders and strong goaltending by Ivan Fedotov. Most likely, the Red-and-Blues’ recipe won’t change – will Dynamo adapt to their game and start showing more offensive production?
