Official KHL announcement on Jan 12 epidemiological situation in the League

Officially

As of Jan 12, there were 171 positive PCR tests in the League’s teams, 124 of them regarding players. This translates as an increase of 60 cases in just one day (including 27 players).

Thus, the League decided to cancel games #584 between Lokomotiv and Ak Bars, and #587 between Dynamo Moscow and Spartak, originally scheduled for Jan 13.

Avtomobilist comes out of quarantine after receiving negative results in new PCR tests for the whole team’s personnel and will play its first match in the new year against Severstal.

Due to the rapid increase in the number of cases in the clubs and the high contagiousness of the virus, the League decided to postpone the game days on Jan 15, 17, 19 and 21, 2022 to later dates to be announced in a following official communication.

Schedule of the upcoming days:

Jan 12, Wednesday

Admiral – Sibir;
Neftekhimik – Traktor.

Jan 13, Thursday

Avtomobilist – Severstal;
Vityaz – Barys;
SKA – HC Sochi (HC Sochi had five PCR+ tests, a decision will follow tomorrow).

Jan 14, Friday

Admiral – Sibir.

I would like to wish everyone to be healthy, take care of yourself, your families and loved ones. Only through joint effort and preventive measures will we be able to determine the winner of the Gagarin Cup for the 2021-2022 campaign.
