The Jokers try to climb up in the standings facing off with the Blue-and-Whites, while Dinamo Riga visits Salavat Yulaev in Ufa. Game between Avangard and Avtomobilist cancelled.

Jokerit faces off with Dynamo Moscow for the second time this season – in the first encounter, the Blue-and-Whites prevailed, but this time it may be different as the Jokers will be hunting points with several players in good shape.

Earlier, in the Eastern Conference, Dinamo Riga moves to Ufa trying to return to winning, but it won’t be easy at all. The Latvians don’t achieve a victory in Bashkortostan since 2016, plus they have eleven players in the injury list.

The KHL matchday starts in the Far East, when Amur hosts Ak Bars to start a four-game home series. The Tigers will need to win most of these games if they still want to hope in a postseason qualification. Ak Bars, on its turn, will want to clinch a playoff spot as soon as possible, and a trip to Khabarovsk may be a good occasion to celebrate an early achievement.

Then, Traktor hosts Lokomotiv trying to stretch a four-game winning streak. Another team in a similar situation is Spartak – the Muscovites travel to Novosibirsk with four straight wins, and another win may be another step toward their postseason goal. The battle for a playoff spot is even tighter in the East. Barys and Neftekhimik, the eighth and seventh seed in the East, respectively, both hit the ice against two top opponents – Metallurg and CSKA.

Another two key games in the West will end the tense KHL matchday when Vityaz hosts Dinamo Minsk and HC Sochi welcomes Torpedo.
