The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the Regular Season’s fifteenth week in four categories.

Last week, the League’s teams played 37 games, with 574 players (42 goalies, 191 defensemen, and 341 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.40 goals per game.

Best goalie for the first time in his career was Frans Tuohimaa (Neftekhimik), who won two games from three last week. The Finn goalie faced 78 shots, or 26 per night, posting a saves percentage of 96.15 and a goals-against average of 1.22.

Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Steven Kampfer (Ak Bars), who scored 6 (3+3) points in three games last week. The d-man posted no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-2 rating. He also recorded three hits, blocked one shot, and earned a powerplay for his team.

Best forward for the second time in his career was Nikolai Prokhorkin (Avangard), who scored 6 (4+2) points in three games last week. Prokhorkin posted no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-6 differential. He also recorded three hits, and blocked one shot. The Avangard forward was awarded best forward honors for the first time in 2015-2016 18th week, representing Salavat Yulaev.

Best rookie for the second time in his career was forward Arseny Gritsyuk (Avangard), who scored 3 (2+1) points in three games last week. Gritsyuk posted no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-2 rating. He also blocked three shots and earned two powerplays for his team.
