The Western Conference sees a three-way tie on its top, with Jokerit, CSKA and Dynamo Moscow all hitting the ice in a busy KHL Monday.

The Jokers lost to SKA on Friday, and now the Western Conference’s standings are even tighter now, with the three leaders packed at 50 points. Formally, Dynamo Moscow is the Conference’s new leader, but today’s night may change all the placements, especially as the Blue-and-Whites host CSKA in the third derby of the season.

In Helsinki, the Jokers welcome Amur. On paper, it may seem an easy game for the home side, but Amur is on a hot streak and defeated Severstal in its last match – anything can happen tonight.

Dinamo Riga will try to repeat Saturday’s win over Torpedo visiting Avangard. Having the first win under the new head coach Vladimir Krikunov may be a good morale boost for the Latvians, who still have playoff hopes alive. Also, Severstal faces Vityaz trying to forget the defeat in the recent home game against Amur, while Lokomotiv hosts Sibir.

In the East, Avtomobilist hosts SKA and Metallurg faces off with Spartak in the first two games of the matchday. In the meantime, Traktor will attack Magnitka’s leadership hosting Kunlun Red Star, and Salavat Yulaev hits the ice in a home game against Admiral.

Ak Bars hosts Barys in a Leopards battle in the remaining game of an action-packed KHL Monday.
