The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the Gagarin Cup finals in four categories.

— Best goalie was Simon Hrubec (Avangard), who won four of six games in the series against CSKA. He faced 179 shots, posting a saves percentage of 94.97% and a goals-against average of 1.49. Hrubec was the first Czech goalie to play the Gagarin Cup final stage.

— Best defenseman was Damir Sharipzyanov (Avangard), who scored 2 (2+0) points in the series, including potting the game-winner in game five. Sharipzyanov logged an average time on ice of 24 minutes and 17 seconds and blocked 13 shots (best figure in the series).

— Best forward was Reid Boucher (Avangard), who scored 4 (3+1) points in six games and becoming the series’ top sniper. Boucher logged an average of 20 minutes and 17 seconds, had 15 shots on goal, recorded 10 hits, and blocked five shots.

— Best rookie for the second time in this year’s playoffs was Klim Kostin (Avangard), who scored 2 (1+1) points. Kostin logged an average of 17 minutes and 32 seconds, had 11 shots on goal, recorded 22 hits (the most in the series), blocked six shots, and earned five powerplays for his team.
