The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the Regular Season’s second week in four categories.

— Best goalie was Emil Garipov (Avangard), who won two games of three last week (including a shutout in an away match). He faced 90 shots (an average of 30 per night) with a saves percentage of 94.44%. Garipov posted a goals-against average of 1.81.

— Best defenseman was Rushan Rafikov (Lokomotiv), who won two games of three with his team last week, scoring one goal and one assist. The Railwaymen’s defenseman posted no negative ratings, ending the week being plus-5. He also had five shots on goal, two hits, and six blocked shots.

— Best forward was Miro Aaltonen (SKA), who won with his team all three games of last week, scoring 7 (3+4) points (the best result of the week). The St. Petersburg’s forward posted his first hat-trick of the season in the Sunday game against Neftekhimik, with one tally being the game-winning goal. Aaltonen scored goals in all the week’s games and posted no negative ratings, with a plus-1 rating. He also recorded three hits.

— Best rookie was forward German Shaporev (Kunlun Red Star), who scored three goals in three away games, including a double against Sibir. The 19-years-old forward had six shots on goal, recorded ten hits, and logged an average time on ice of 13 minutes and 06 seconds.
