The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the third week of the Regular Season in four categories.

- best goalie was Alexei Melnichuk (SKA), who won two away games in three matches last week, both times recording a shutout. In the third game of the week, the St. Petersburg’s goalie started as a backup, but when iced, he didn’t concede to Vityaz. This way, the 21-years-old goalie posted a 100% saves percentage, and against HC Sochi he had his first KHL shutout. Melnichuk’s shutout streak is now at 137 minutes and 47 seconds.

- best defenseman was Jakub Jerabek (Vityaz), who won three games with his team, including two road matches, scoring 4 (3+1) points. The Czech international posted a double against Severstal, including the game-winning goal. Jerabek posted no negative ratings, ending the week being plus-2. He also blocked six shots from the opposition.

- best forward was Alexander Semin (Vityaz), who who won three games with his team, including two road matches, scoring 6 (2+4) points. The veteran forward scored four points with the man advantage. Semin posted no negative ratings, ending the week being plus-1 and scored points in each game. He also had nine shots on goal and blocked three shots from the opposition.

- best rookie was forward Artyom Galimov (Ak Bars), who own three games with his team last week, including one road match. In the game against Severstal, the 20-years-old forward had his first KHL goal. Galimov had an average time on ice of 14 minutes and 44 seconds, with seven shots on goal.
