The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the eighth week of the Regular Season in four categories.
- best goalie was Juha Metsola (Salavat Yulaev), who won two of three matches last week. Metsola had a saves percentage of 97,27%, with a goals-against average of 0,99. Both figures were the best overall numbers last week. The Finn goalie kept a clean sheet for 81 minutes and 49 seconds.
- best defenseman was Paul Postma (Ak Bars), who won three of four games last week with his team, scoring 5 (1+4) points. His goal against Amur was the game-winner. The Canadian defenseman posted no negative ratings, ending the week being plus-5. He also blocked 5 shots and recorded three hits.
- best forward was Roman Starchenko (Barys), who won all the three games last week with his team, scoring 6 (2+4) points – the best overall result. He also had a game-winning goal against Sibir Novosibirsk. The veteran forward scored points in all the games and posted no negative ratings, ending the week being plus-3.
- best rookie was forward Nikita Mikhailov (Sibir), who had two assists in two games last week. The 20-year-old forward posted no negative ratings (for a total of plus-1), had an average time on ice of 15 minutes and seven seconds, and blocked two shots.
