In response to speculation surrounding the revisions to the WADA anti-doping code, approved in November of last year and scheduled to come into force on the 1st of April, 2018, the Kontinental Hockey League has issued the following clarification to aid understanding.

While the revisions mention "International Federations," these are intended to refer to worldwide tournaments, such as the World Cup, World Championships etc. The Kontinental Hockey League is an international organisation, but not a global one, and therefore is not one of the various organizations and tournaments covered by WADA's revision.

Furthermore, the Kontinental Hockey League has operated and continues to operate a zero-tolerance policy to doping, and thoroughly implements this policy in close cooperation with the International Ice Hockey Federation.
