Wednesday was deadline day before the closure of the trading window, and as a result, there was a flurry of activity on the transfer markets.

Ak Bars has agreed one-way contract until the end of the season with Alexander Burmistrov, who returns to Kazan after two-and-a-half seasons in the NHL, where he donned the colors of the Jets, Coyotes and Canucks.

USA defenseman Jonathon Blum, formerly of the Nashville Predators and the Minnesota Wild, has left Admiral Vladivostok and agreed a one-year, one-way contract with HC Sochi.

Lada has accepted financial compensation from Neftekhimik for Nikita Filatov.

Amur and Ak Bars agreed a trade which sees Denis Golubev move to Khabarovsk, with the Kazan club receiving financial compensation.

Ak Bars and Torpedo clinched a deal in which defenseman Timur Fatkullin heads for Kazan, with the Nizhny Novgorod club accepting financial compensation.

Also on the way out of Nizhny Novgorod is Canadian forward Ryan Garbutt, who has agreed a one-way contract with Slovan Bratislava valid for the remainder of tthe current season.

Slovenian forward Robert Sabolic arrives on a one-way, two-year deal, following the recent termination of his contract with Admiral Vladivostok.

Joining him are two more former members of the Admiral crew: forwards Vadim Krasnoslobodtsev, who returns to Torpedo after an absence of over two years, and who has agreed a one-way deal until the end of the season, and Pavel Makarenko, who has signed on the dotted line of a two-way contract which also runs until the end of the current campaign.

From Salavat Yulaev comes defenseman Fyodor Belyakov in exchange for financial compensation.

The last two new faces at Torpedo, ex-Nizhny Novgorod forward Daniil Ilyin and defenseman Kirill Melyakov, both arrived from Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk, who agreed financial compensation for the pair.

Admiral Vladivostok has agreed two-way contracts until the end of the season with goalie Vladislav Bulygin, defenseman Ivan Glazkov, and forwards Andrei Alexeyev, Denis Vikharev, Ilya Ivanov, Nikita Feoktistov, Viktor Drugov, and Vadim Pereskokov.

Avangard and HC Sochi agreed a swap which sees defenseman Nikita Lisov move south to Sochi while the men from Omsk welcome D-man Ilya Khokhlov and forward Vadim Shchegolkov.

Lokomotiv Yaroslavl has agreed a one-way contract until the end of the season with defenseman Alexander Kutuzov.
