To mark the end of the third round of the playoff stage of the Championship – the Conference finals - the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the round in four categories.

Best goaltender was Igor Shestyorkin (SKA), who helped his team to victory in three of the four games against Lokomotiv. The 21-year-old netminder allowed just a solitary goal, achieving the highest save percentage (98.51) and lowest goals against average of (0.55) of any goalie in the round;

Best defenseman was Patrik Hersley (SKA), who featured in all four matches against Lokomotiv, firing off 15 shots at goal and ending the series with 4 (2+2) points and an efficiency rating of +4. The 30-year-old Swede scored a double in Game 1, including the crucial game-winner in overtime;

Best forward was Sergei Mozyakin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), who appeared in four out of four outings against Ak Bars, finishing the series with 7 (3+4) points and a +5. Like Hersley in the West, the Magnitka marksman struck the all-important overtime winner to seal victory in Game 1, and his goal in Game 4 was his 54th of the current season, breaking the previous record for national championships set by CSKA legend Veniamin Alexandrov back in the 1962/63 season;

Best rookie was 21-year-old Ak Bars forward Maxim Lazarev, who enjoyed three outings during the series against Magnitogorsk, recording three hits, no negative ratings and an average of 5 minutes and 56 seconds on the ice.
