To mark the end of the seventh week’s play of the ninth season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.

– Best goaltender was Igor Shestyorkin (SKA), with three shutout wins in three matches. The 20-year-old has now gone 246 minutes and 15 seconds since he last allowed a goal;

– Best defenseman was Geoffrey Kinrade (Neftekhimik), with 4 points (3+1) from three games on the road. Kinrade finished each game with a goal and a positive rating, ending the week with a +3. Two of his goals came in powerplay and he fired seven shots in total;

– Best forward was Anton Glinkin (Ak Bars), who celebrated three victories in three road games and contributed 6 points (3+3), which included a double at Barys. Glinkin struck 7 shots at the opposition net and did not receive a single negative rating, earning a +4 for the week;

– Best rookie was 20-year-old Torpedo defenseman, Dmitry Shulenin, who made three appearances and finished the week with two wins and an average 12 minutes 4 seconds of ice time. Shulenin did not receive a single minus rating, meriting a +1 for the week, and his goal against Amur was the game-winner.
