Kalinin banned for 2 games
In the 52nd minute of Monday’s game in Saint Petersburg between SKA and CSKA, home defenseman Dmitry Kalinin received a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for checking to the head or neck area after he launched an illegal and high hit on Moscow forward Andrei Svetlakov.
After reviewing the incident, the KHL Disciplinary Committee supported the referee’s decision, and has suspended Kalinin for 2 games.
