November’s finest: Taylor, Kronwall, Golyshev and Polunin
To mark the end of the third month’s play of the eighth season of the Championship, The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the month in four categories.

Best goaltender was
Danny Taylor (Medvescak), who played in 9 games and helped his team to 6 victories, including 2 shutouts wins. Taylor recorded a goals against average of 1.51 and a save percentage of 95.34;

Best defenseman was
Staffan Kronwall (Lokomotiv), who in 10 November outings yielded 5 wins and 7 points (1+6), including 4 in powerplay. Kronwall also contributed 12 hits, blocked 15 shots, and earned a +4 for the month;

Best forward was
Anatoly Golyshev (Avtomobilist), with 10 points (8+2), including three doubles and a game-winner, from 10 appearances;

Best rookie was 18-year-old Lokomotiv forward
Alexander Polunin, who played in 9 games, finishing the month with 5 points (3+2) and a +4. Polunin enjoyed an average ice time of 9 minutes 55 and struck 13 shots at goal.
