Leonov replaced by Amur

Amur Khabarovsk has terminated the contract of head coach Yury Leonov, citing to the team’s disappointing start to the season. The Far East club has won only three of its seventeen games and is currently languishing at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. 

The new head coach has been named as Jukka Rautakorpi, who spent the previous two seasons in charge of Tappara in his native Finland. Rautakorpi has been at the helm of a number of clubs, securing one gold and five silver medals in the Finnish championship, and has also coached Finland’s U-18 and U-20 sides at European and World Championships.
