A hat-trick from Stepan Khripunov led the Motormen to a vital victory in Yekaterinburg in Game Five, keeping this series alive. Avtomobilist had a fast start in the first period, with two goals in the starting ten minutes. Other than Khripunov’s treble, Avto enjoyed goals from Alexander Sharov and usual suspect Daniel Sprong.
