Best Players of the 2025-2026 twenty-fifth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2025-2026 Regular Season’s twenty-fifth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 28 games last week, with 512 players (38 goalies, 172 defensemen, and 302 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.21 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the fourth time in his career was Vladimir Galkin (Avtomobilist), who won two games from two last week. The Yekaterinburg goalie faced 60 shots, or 30 per game, posting a 98.33% saves percentage and a goals-against average of 0.50. Galkin posted his second shutout of the season in Monday’s Avtomobilist win over CSKA (1:0).

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Joseph Keane (Spartak), who scored 6 (2+4) points in three games last week, with a plus-3 differential. The Red-and-Whites’ blueliner also blocked seven shots.

- Best forward for the sixth time in his career was Sergei Plotnikov (SKA), who scored 5 (3+2) points in three games last week, with a plus-4 rating. In Monday’s SKA win over Barys (7:0), Plotnikov netted his fourth KHL career. The St. Petersburg forward also recorded four hits, blocked four shots, and had two takeaways.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was 19-years-old forward Sevastyan Sokolov (Neftekhimik), who scored 3 (2+1) points in three games last week, with a plus-1 differential. In Saturday’s Neftekhimik win over Admiral (4:3), Sokolov potted the game-winning goal. He also delivered three hits and blocked three shots.
