Best Players of the 2025-2026 twenty-second week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2025-2026 Regular Season’s twenty-second week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 28 games last week, with 521 players (40 goalies, 170 defensemen, and 311 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.96 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the sixth time in his career was Alexander Samonov (CSKA), who won two games from two last week. The Nizhny Novgorod goalie faced 68 shots, or 34 per game, posting a 98.53% saves percentage and a goals-against average of 0.49. In Thursday’s CSKA win over Spartak (2:0), Samonov posted his first shutout of the season.

- Best defenseman for the thirteenth time in his career was Damir Sharipzyanov (Avangard), who scored 6 (1+5) points in three games last week, with a plus-6 differential. He also delivered four hits, blocked four shots, and made one pass interception.

- Best forward for the third time in his career was Taylor Beck (Sibir), who scored 8 (2+6) points in two games last week, with a plus-4 rating. Beck netted the game-winning goal in Monday’s Sibir win over HC Sochi (10:1), also establishing a KHL record for the most points in a single game, with seven.

- Best rookie for the fourth time in his career was 21-years-old forward Matvei Polyakov (SKA), who scored 2 (0+2) points in two games last week, with a plus-1 differential. He also delivered one hit and blocked one shot.
