Best Players of the 2025-2026 ninth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2025-2026 Regular Season’s ninth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 28 games last week, with 512 players (36 goalies, 172 defensemen, and 304 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 4.5 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the third time in his career was Maxim Dorozhko (Amur), who won two games from three last week. The Khabarovsk goalie faced 116 shots, or 38.7 per game, with a save percentage of 95.69% and a goals-against average of 1.66. In Sunday’s Amur win over Avtomobilist, Dorozhko posted his fourth shutout of the season.

- Best defenseman for the seventh time in his career was Trevor Murphy (SKA), who scored 5 (3+2) points in three games last week. The St. Petersburg defenseman netted the game-winning goal in games against the Shanghai Dragons (3:2 OT) and Dynamo Moscow (3:2). He also delivered two hits, blocked two shots, made one pass interception and had one takeaway.

- Best forward for the first time in his career was Andrei Belozyorov (Neftekhimik), who scored 7 (5+2) points in three games last week. The Nizhnekamsk forward netted the game-winner in Monday’s Neftekhimik win over Barys (5:2), when he also had a hat-trick. Belozyorov also delivered three hits, blocked two shots, and had two takeaways.

- Best rookie for the second time in his career was 17-years-old forward Matvei Polyakov (SKA), who scored one goal in two games last week. The St. Petersburg forw
