Best Players of the 2025-2026 eighth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2025-2026 Regular Season’s eighth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 29 games last week, with 508 players (35 goalies, 172 defensemen, and 301 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.66 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the second time in his career was Denis Kostin (Torpedo), who won two games from two last week. The Nizhny Novgorod goalie faced 51 shots, or 25.5 per game, with a save percentage of 100%. He posted shutouts in games against Lada and Avtomobilist, which Torpedo both won 2:0.

- Best defenseman for the fifth time in his career was Igor Ozhiganov (Dynamo Moscow), who scored 4 (1+3) points in three games last week, with a plus-7 differential. The Blue-and-Whites blueliner also delivered one hit and blocked five shots.

- Best forward for the ninth time in his career was Alexander Radulov (Lokomotiv), who scored 5 (2+3) points in three games last week, with a plus-6 differential. The Yaroslavl forward also delivered four hits, blocked one shot, and had three takeaways. Radulov is now tied with Danis Zaripov for the number of weekly awards, trailing only Sergei Mozyakin with 12.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was 17-years-old defenseman Yaroslav Fedoseyev (Traktor), who scored 1 (1+0) point in three games last week, with a plus-4 differential. The Chelyabinsk blueliner had his KHL debut last week, logging an average of 16 minutes and 26 seconds on the ice. He also delivered three hits, blocked two shots, and made one pass interception.
