Isayev, Podyapolsky, and Serebryakov named finalists for Best Goalie Award

KHL.ru presents the finalists for the best goaltender in the 2024-2025 Fonbet KHL season.

The Best Goalie award recipient is determined by a vote among all the Fonbet Kontinental Hockey League head coaches. Lokomotiv’s Daniil Isayev, Lada and Dynamo Moscow’s Vladislav Podyapolsky, and SKA and Avangard’s Nikita Serebryakov are the three finalists for the 2024-2025 edition.

Daniil Isayev (Lokomotiv)

Regular season: 41 games, 29 wins, 92.4%, GAA 1.61, 8 SO

Playoffs: 20 games, 15 wins, 93.5%, GAA 1.56, 2 SO

Last season’s best netminder continues to perform in the current campaign and is one step away from winning his first Gagarin Cup. In the regular season, Isayev led the league in wins and goals-against average, and ranked second in shutouts. In the playoffs, he also leads in wins and goals-against average, and is second in save percentage.

Vladislav Podyapolsky (Lada / Dynamo Moscow)

Regular season: 42 games, 18 wins, 93.8%, GAA 2.04, 5 SO

Playoffs: 11 games, 6 wins, 93.5%, GAA 2.15

This season, Podyapolsky played for two teams. By the end of the regular season, he led the league in save percentage and ranked fifth in goals-against average. In the playoffs, he currently ranks third and fourth in those categories, respectively.

Nikita Serebryakov (Lada / Dynamo Moscow)

Regular season: 34 games, 19 wins, 92.6%, GAA 2.41, 2 SO

Playoffs: 13 games, 7 wins, 94.1%, GAA 1.88, 1 SO

Just like Podyapolsky, Serebryakov changed teams during the season. The standout goalie of the 2022-2023 campaign has shone brightest in the playoffs, where he leads the league in save percentage and ranks second in goals-against average.

Georgy Gelashvili, Petri Vehanen, Konstantin Barulin, Alexander Yeryomenko (twice), Vasily Koshechkin (twice), Mikko Koskinen, Edward Pasquale, Ilya Sorokin, Pavel Francouz, Juha Metsola, Timur Bilyalov, Ivan Fedotov, Nikita Serebryakov and Daniil Isayev have won this award in the past.

The Closing Ceremony for the 2024-2025 season will be held on May 29, 2025.
