Best Players of the 2024-2025 twenty-fourth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s twenty-fourth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 30 games last week, with 535 players (40 goalies, 173 defensemen, and 322 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.43 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the fifth time in his career was Vasily Demchenko (Dinamo Minsk), who won four games from four last week. The Minsk goalie faced 95 shots, or 23.8 per game, with a save percentage of 96.84% and a goals-against average of 0.75. In Friday’s win over Dynamo Moscow (5:0) and Sunday’s win over Severstal (3:0), Demchenko recorded his fifth and sixth shutout of the season, respectively.

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Xavier Ouellet (Dinamo Minsk), who scored 3 (0+3) points in four games last week. The Bison’s defenseman ended the week with a plus-4 rating. Ouellet blocked seven shots, recorded seven hits, made one pass interception, and had four takeaways.

- Best forward for the first time in his career was Daniil Seroukh (HC Sochi), who scored 7 (6+1) points in three games last week, with a plus-3 differential. In Wednesdays’ win over Dynamo Moscow (5:3), Seroukh became the second player to score five goals in a single KHL game. The HC Sochi forward posted game-winning goals in games against Dynamo Moscow and CSKA (4:1). He also recorded three hits, blocked two shots, made two pass interceptions, and had two takeaways.

- Best rookie for the second time in his career was forward Nikita Khoruzhev (Neftekhimik), who scored 3 (2+1) points in three games last week. The Nizhnekamsk forward scored the game-winning goal in his team’s victory over Ak Bars on Friday (3:2 OT). Khoruzhev also recorded one hit, blocked two shots, and made two pass interceptions.
