Best Players of the 2024-2025 twenty-second week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s twenty-first week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 20 games last week, with 504 players (34 goalies, 170 defensemen, and 300 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.75 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the second time in his career was Ivan Kulbakov (Torpedo), with two shootout victories in two games last week. The Nizhny Novgorod goalie faced 63 shots, or 31.5 per game, with a save percentage of 95.24% and a goals-against average of 1.39.

- Best defenseman for the second time in his career was Damir Sharipzyanov (Avangard), who scored 3 (2+1) points in two games last week. The Hawks’ defenseman ended the week with a plus-2 rating. Sharipzyanov potted the game-winning goal in Thursday’s Avangard win over Lada (2:1) and recorded two hits, blocked six shots, made two pass interceptions, and had two takeaways.

- Best forward for the first time in his career was Artyom Galimov (Ak Bars), who scored 6 (4+2) points in two games last week, with a plus-4 differential. Galimov potted game-winning goals in his team’s wins over SKA (8:3, there he also scored his first KHL hat-trick) and Avtomobilist (4:1).

- Best rookie for the second time in his career was goalie Dmitry Gamzin (CSKA), who had one shootout win in two games last week. The CSKA netminder faced 58 shots, or 29 per game, with a save percentage of 96.55% and a goals-against average of 1.25.
