Best Players of the 2024-2025 seventeenth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s seventeenth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 21 games last week, with 476 players (33 goalies, 161 defensemen, and 282 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.57 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the first time in his career was Alexander Trushkov (Lada), who won one game from three last week, with another SO victory. The Togliatti goalie faced 86 shots, or 28.7 per game, with a save percentage of 95.35% and a goals-against average of 1.31. In Sunday’s Lada win over Barys (5:0), Trushkov posted his first career shutout.

- Best defenseman for the fourth time in his career was Daniil Pylenkov (Dynamo Moscow), who scored 4 (3+1) points in two games last week, with a plus-5 differential. The Blue-and-Whites’ defenseman potted the game-winning goal in Friday’s Dynamo win over Severstal (7:2). He also made three hits, had one takeaway, and made one pass interception.

- Best forward for the first time in his career and best rookie for the fifth time in his career was Ivan Demidov (SKA), who scored 5 (3+2) points in two games last week, with a plus-3 differential. The St. Petersburg forward also made two hits, had one takeaway, and made two pass interceptions.
