Best Players of the 2024-2025 sixteenth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s sixteenth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 28 games last week, with 532 players (38 goalies, 179 defensemen, and 315 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.43 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the first time in his career was Denis Kostin (Sibir), who won three games from three last week, including two shutouts. The Novosibirsk goalie faced 97 shots, or 32.3 per game, with a save percentage of 97.94% and a goals-against average of 0.67.

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Jordan Gross (Dinamo Minsk), who scored 5 (2+3) points in three games last week, with a plus-3 differential. He also made one hit, blocked five shots, and had one takeaway.

- Best forward for the second time in his career was Joshua Leivo (Salavat Yulaev), who scored 4 (4+0) points in three games last week, with a plus-4 differential. In Wednesday's game against Amur (5:4 OT), Leivo netted a hat-trick, while in Monday's match between the two teams (3:0), he netted the game-winning goal. He also made one hit and one pass interception.

- Best rookie for the third time in his career was defenseman Magomed Sharakanov (Lada), who scored 2 (2+0) points in two games last week. He also made one hit, blocked three shots, had one takeaway and made three pass interceptions.
