Best Players of the 2024-2025 thirteenth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s thirteenth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 26 games last week, with 518 players (39 goalies, 170 defensemen, and 309 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 4.96 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the fifth time in his career was Alexander Samonov (Salavat Yulaev), who won three games from three last week. The Ufa goalie faced 92 shots, or 30.7 per game, with a save percentage of 98.91% and a goals-against average of 0.33. Samonov recorded shutouts in Salavat Yulaev’s wins over Severstal (2:0) and Vityaz (4:0).

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Ilya Nikolayev (Traktor), who scored 3 (0+3) points in three games last week, with a plus-3 differential. He also blocked ten shots and had one takeaway.

- Best forward for the fourth time in his career was Marat Khairullin (SKA), who scored 7 (4+3) points in three games last week, with a plus-2 differential. The SKA forward posted a hat-trick in Sunday’s SKA win over Amur (7:5). Khairullin also blocked two shots and had two takeaways.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was goalie Maxim Arefyev (Ak Bars), who won two games from two last week. The Ak Bars goalie faced 68 shots, or 34 per game, with a save percentage of 95.59% and a goals-against average of 1.49.
