Best Players of the 2024-2025 seventh week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s seventh week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 28 games last week, with 531 players (37 goalies, 173 defensemen, and 321 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.93 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the first time in his career was Maxim Dorozhko (Vityaz), who won two games from two last week. The Vityaz goalie faced 78 shots, or 39 per game, with a save percentage of 98.72% and a goals-against average of 0.50. Dorozhko posted his third shutout of the season in Saturday’s Vityaz win over Metallurg (2:0).

- Best defenseman for the first time in his career was Nikita Lyamkin (Ak Bars), who scored 3 (1+2) points in two games last week, with a plus-4 differential. The Kazan blueliner potted the game-winning goal in Monday’s Ak Bars win over Metallurg (5:0). Lyamkin also blocked four shots and had three pass interceptions.

- Best forward for the first time in his career was Pavel Poryadin (Spartak), who scored 6 (3+3) points in three games last week, with a plus-4 differential. In Saturday’s Spartak win over Amur (5:4), the Red-and-Whites forward potted a double, including netting the game-winning goal. The Spartak forward also recorded one hit, blocked two shots, and had one pass interception.

- Best rookie for the second time in his career was forward Ivan Demidov (SKA), who scored 2 (1+1) points in three games last week, with a plus-4 differential. The SKA forward also had one pass interception.
