Best Players of the 2024-2025 fourth week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s fourth week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 31 games last week, with 550 players (42 goalies, 184 defensemen, and 324 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 6.1 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the second time in his career was Dmitry Nikolayev (Spartak), who won two games from three last week, with Spartak achieving a further win after SO. The Red-and-Whites’ goalie faced 111 shots, or 37 per game, with a save percentage of 93.69% and a goals-against average of 2.24. Demchenko was also awarded the Best goalie honors while representing SKA in the 2022-2023 season.

- Best defenseman for the second time in his career was Steven Kampfer (Traktor), who scored 4 (0+4) points in three games last week. He also blocked six shots and intercepted one pass. Kampfer was also awarded the Best defenseman honors while representing Ak Bars in the fifteen week of the 2021-2022 season.

- Best forward for the first time in his career was Valentin Zykov (SKA), who scored 5 (4+1) points in three games last week. Zykov posted no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-6 differential. He posted the game-winning goal in Friday’s SKA win over Severstal (8:5), and recorded seven hits throughout the week.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was defenseman Dmitry Breus (Torpedo), who scored 1 (1+0) points in three games last week. He posted the game-winning goal in Thursday’s Torpedo win over Admiral (4:2), and blocked three shots, had one takeaway, and intercepted two passes, throughout the week.
