Best Players of the 2024-2025 third week

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best players of the 2024-2025 Regular Season’s third week in four categories.

The League’s teams played 26 games last week, with 530 players (36 goalies, 177 defensemen, and 317 forwards) taking part in the action. The scoring was at 5.19 goals per game.

- Best goalie for the third time in his career was Vasily Demchenko (Admiral), who won three games from three last week. The Vladivostok goalie faced 82 shots, or 27.3 per game, with a save percentage of 95.12% and a goals-against average of 1.31. Demchenko was also awarded the Best goalie honors while representing Avangard and Traktor.

- Best defenseman for the fifth time in his career was Trevor Murphy (Sibir), who scored 5 (2+3) points in three games last week. He also had no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-2 differential. Murphy also blocked five shots, had one takeaway, and posted two pass interceptions. Murphy was awarded the Best defenseman honors four times with Sibir and once with Kunlun Red Star.

- Best forward for the first time in his career was Timur Khafizov (HC Sochi), who scored 5 (4-1) points in three games last week. Khafizov posted no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-4 differential. He also recorded one hit, blocked two shots, and had one takeaway.

- Best rookie for the first time in his career was forward Ivan Demidov (SKA), who scored 4 (2+2) points in two games last week. Demidov posted no negative ratings, ending the week with a plus-4 differential. He also recorded three hits and blocked one shot.
