Barys seeking first win of the season

Preview
Only two games are on tap on a light KHL Friday, with Barys hosting Dinamo Minsk, and Vityaz welcoming Lada.

One of the teams with the most disappointing start of the season is certainly Barys. The Kazakhs shuffled their roster, made a few big signings, and they are yet to win a single game in the 2024-2025 campaign. Things can change tonight, but it won’t be easy as the opposition will be Dinamo Minsk. The Belarusians had a decent start, and looked good in their most recent game, a 5:1 away win over Vityaz.

The Moscow Region club, who will be lacking a few players sitting on IL, will try to rebound back as today the opponent is Lada. On Tuesday, the Togliatti side achieved its first win in the season when they defeated Dynamo Moscow 6:3 at home, with prospects Magomed Sharakanov opening his goal-scoring account in the league—he’s currently in the Lada roster on loan from the Blue-and-Whites. However, Lada’s most recent away win over Vityaz is dated Dec. 9, 2015 (2:0).
