Avangard hosts Amur seeking fourth win, Salavat Yulaev hosts Avtomobilist

Preview
The Hawks are on a run with three straight victories to win the season. Tonight’s opponent is Amur. Three games are on tap on a light KHL Wednesday.

The matchday starts with Avangard facing Amur. Finally, the Far East franchise achieved its first win as they scored five goals in Astana, while the Hawks are currently topping the Eastern Conference’s standings with three straight wins and only Lokomotiv has also six points in the league’s table.

In Ufa, the battle will be just as fierce. Salavat Yulaev is also undefeated so far, and today will host Avtomobilist. The Urals franchise will try to rebound back after its recent defeat in Nizhny Novgorod, while Ufa will try to build on its previous couple of wins as Salavat Yulaev had a good start of the 2024-2025 campaign.

The Moscow Region franchise recorded a win most recently, against HC Sochi, with forward Derek Barach potting his first hat-trick in the KHL as Vityaz defeated the Black Sea franchise with a 5:4 score. In the meantime, Dinamo Minsk lost its second game in the season, to Spartak in Moscow, despite Vadim Shipachyov posting his first point for the Belarusians and Dillon Dube opening his goal scoring account in the KHL.
