Lada hosts Dynamo Moscow, CSKA faces Sibir

Preview
Only two games are on tap on a light KHL Monday.

A Russian hockey classic, Lada against Dynamo Moscow. The Togliatti side lost its first two games in the new season, and will be seeking a first win tonight. However, the opposition will be hard, with the Blue-and-Whites coming strong after a home win over Severstal on Friday. Not only did Lada fail to win in its first couple of games, but the team only scored once this year so far, with newcomer Anthony Greco finding the back of the net in a 1:3 loss to SKA in the season’s opener.

The Muscovites also lost their first game, against Kunlun Red Star, but rebounded back as said with a hone win over Severstal. Tonight, determination will be key to get a win as both teams will be eager to add a W to their record. To add some significancy to the game, Dynamo Moscow doesn’t achieve a win in Togliatti since almost ten years ago, with a sound 5:0 win on Oct. 09, 2015.

In the second contest of the night, CSKA hosts Sibir. The situation is just as for the game in Togliatti, with the Novosibirsk side yet to achieve a victory this season, with CSKA losing their first game to Spartak to record a win then against Admiral on Sunday. It will be a nice chance for the Blue-and-Reds to start building a winning streak, with some of their top players aiming for a further push in their stats.
