Metallurg and Avtomobilist at their second clash!

Magnitka got the first game, but it’s just the start as it was a close contest in the first showdown.

17:00: Metallurg vs Avtomobilist

Series stand
1-0 (2:1)

About the game
Metallurg had the initiative for most of the game in the first encounter, but Evgeny Alikin was particularly inspired and didn’t allow any goal for more than half a game, but surrendered to an unlucky deflection by Nikita Tryamkin after a cross-ice pass by Alexander Petunin. Avtomobilist pulled its goalie close to the end of the game, and Pavel Akolzin sealed the deal in the empty net. However, a late-gasp tally by Danil Romantsev – at his first goal in the elimination stage – stole Ilya Nabokov a shutout, with the young Magnitka goalie ending the game with 31 saves.

Injury list
