Traktor, Lokomotiv celebrate 1,000th KHL game today!

Preview
In tonight’s game the atmosphere in Chelyabinsk will be a special one as Traktor celebrates its 1,000th game in the KHL. The stakes are high for Traktor, currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, aiming to solidify their position in the standings. Dynamo Moscow, holding the second spot in the West and tied with Spartak, seeks to maintain their impressive form.

Traktor enters the game buoyed by a recent victory over Torpedo (2:1). On the other hand, Dynamo Moscow faces the challenge of rebounding from a loss to SKA (3:5). As the teams clash on the ice, fans eagerly anticipate a riveting contest, with Traktor’s milestone adding an extra layer of excitement to this crucial matchup in the KHL season.

The matchday will start however in the Far East. On a two-game losing streak, Amur faces Dinamo Minsk as both teams are looking for points. Then, Avangard faces Neftekhimik for the fourth time this season. The Wolves took one of these matches, but they have recorded their last road victory against Avangard back on Dec 29, 2017 – almost six years ago.

In the Western Conference, HC Sochi hosts Lokomotiv as the two teams face off for the second time this year, with the Black Sea franchise blanking the Railwaymen in the first encounter. But with their milestone set for tonight, the guests will be on the lookout for a win. A showdown between SKA and Vityaz closes an exciting KHL matchday. SKA can reach ten straight victories tonight.
