Seven games for an exciting KHL Monday!

Preview
The KHL matchday starts early in the Far East, with Amur returning home as the Tigers host Lokomotiv. The Railwaymen lost their previous couple of matches, and will want to return to victory, but the hosts will also push for a win to please the home crowd and gain precious points as they will try to return to the right side of the playoff line.

Then, another two hot Eastern matches will follow – Avtomobilist welcomes Sibir, while Salavat Yulaev entertains Neftekhimik. The implications will be profound as only a few points separate the teams in the Conference standings.

The action moves to the Western Conference. First, Kunlun Red Star and Severstal will have a rematch of yesterday’s clash, won by 3:1 by the Steelers – Kristian Jaros posted the first point in his new jersey, while Slovak Adam Liska celebrated his 100th league point. Then, Vityaz will host a hot Dynamo Moscow – the Muscovites are riding high on an eight-game winning streak, and their starting goalie has a shutout streak alive.

In Moscow, Spartak welcomes SKA in one of the most exciting games of the KHL matchday. The Red-and-Whites have already defeated SKA this year, but they also have lost their last eight home games to the St. Petersburg franchise – it will be a real battle, also because SKA is barely the eighth seed in the West and will be seeking points.

In the last game of this tense KHL Monday, Dinamo Minsk hosts Avangard. The Belarusians have already achieved a hard-fought win in Omsk earlier in the season, and it will be interesting to see whether they will be able to repeat that success.
