Back-to-back for Dynamo Moscow tonight!

Preview
The KHL matchday starts in the Far East with Amur hosting Spartak, and Admiral welcoming CSKA. The Sailors have lost their last ten games to CSKA, having recorded their last victory in 2017, when they defeated the Muscovites 3:1 on Sep 15.

Then, in Yekaterinburg, Avtomobilist hosts Barys as the Motormen try to return to victory following three straight losses. Not long ago, Avto was leading the Eastern Conference, but now they slipped down to fourth place – they also had to deal with injuries, with some leading players slowly returning to the lineup.

Another classic Russian matchup is Ak Bars against Avangard. The two teams played a spectacular game earlier in the season, when Alex Radulov netted the game-winner in OT giving Kazan a 5:4 victory to brag about. The fans in the Tatneft Arena will expect an equally exciting match, with Vadim Shipachyov eying the 900-point mark – he’ll be the second KHL player to reach this milestone following Sergei Mozyakin. But Ak Bars shouldn’t underrate the Hawks – Vladimir Tkachyov is on an eight-game scoring streak and the team has climbed up to the sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

In the Western Conference, Torpedo hosts Salavat Yulaev, then Dynamo Moscow faces Vityaz after yesterday’s battle against Lada. The Blue-and-Whites achieved a hard-fought, 5:4 OT win as they keep on accumulating points to cement a spot in the West’s top four.
