Big day in the Western Conference!

Preview
Only Lokomotiv and Dinamo Minsk won’t be playing today among those in the top eight – both played road matches yesterday. The first Western teams to face off will be Torpedo and Severstal for another showdown between Igor Larionov and Andrei Kozyrev. The two sides faced only four days ago, with Torpedo claiming a 4:3 road win with Denis Yan tallying the game-winner with less than eight minutes to go in the closing frame.

Spartak then travels to Sochi, while CSKA hosts Kunlun Red Star for a revenge match – the Dragons did defeat the Muscovites earlier in the season, although they were in a much better position back then. Dynamo Moscow also hits the ice tonight as the Blue-and-Whites host Sibir.

In the Eastern Conference, Lada welcomes Neftekhimik. The Togliatti side is among the sensations of the season, and a win tonight would further cement its position in the East’s top-eight.
