Admiral edges Torpedo in warm-up game
Torpedo finished its pre-season campaign with a narrow loss against Admiral in Minsk.

Head coach Igor Larionov went with a strong roster for his final summer action, including leading players such as Alexei Kruchinin, Nikolai Kovalenko, Sergei Goncharuk and Bogdan Konyushkov. Adam Huska got the start in goal.
Admiral also went with a strong line-up, backstopped by Nikita Serebryakov.
The Sailors made the brighter start, helped by penalty trouble for the opposition. However, Torpedo’s PK was able to cope with the pressure and apart from a shot against the post, Huska was not much troubled. Once back at full strength, Torpedo played a pacy counterattacking game that forced a couple of decent saves from Serebryakov.
In the second frame, Torpedo’s disciplinary troubles caught up with it. Daniil Bokun talked his way into a double minor and that power play saw Anton Berlyov give Admiral the lead. Early in the third, the Sailors increased their advantage when Yury Pautov scored after a quick counterattack. Larionov withdrew his goalie six minutes before the end, and saw Kruchinin pull a goal back. However, Torpedo’s six skaters were unable to find a tying goal in the closing stages.
